June 10, 1935 to July 24, 2018 Rev. Wallace Inglis Little - Peacefully passed away at home in Stratford, surrounded by his family on July 24, 2018 at the age of 83. He was devoted to his loving wife, Audrey of 60 years and was a cherished father of Jane (Pep) Philpott, Judy (Paul) Boivin, Karen (Rob) Congram and Kathy (the late Mark) Hoogsteen. Grandpa will be dearly missed by his 13 beautiful grandchildren, Bethany (Alex), Jacob, David and Lydia Philpott; Andrew, Luke and Sophie Boivin; Ben, Abby and Caroline Congram; and Timothy, Daniel and Samuel Hoogsteen. Wally was predeceased by his son, Gary Wallace Little (1966); his granddaughter, Emily Katherine Philpott (1991); his parents, Chester and Jessie; and his siblings Norman Little, Elgin Little, Jean McIntosh and Thelma Clarke. He had many loving nieces and nephews as well as several dear sisters- and brothers-in law. Wally will also be greatly missed by his dedicated caregiver, Mai. A man of great wisdom and integrity, Wally had a huge heart and a gentle spirit. He touched countless individuals during his 50 years of congregational ministry in Winnipeg, Cambridge, Collingwood, and Wasaga Beach, as well as serving in Thornbury, North Bay and Blantyre, Malawi in his retirement. March 15, 1944 to June 8, 2018 Gary passed away peacefully in his 75th year at the Mississauga Hospital on June 8, 2018. He was born in Listowel on March 15, 1944. He was predeceased by his parents, Elwood and Olive. Loving father to Nolan (Alyson) and Curtis. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, his brother Ross (Kathy) and his sisters Gail and Frances (Dennis). Gary grew up on a farm in Elma Township where he began the pursuit of his passions for writing and music. He started as a Photo Journalist and left as a District Editor with the Stratford Beacon Herald. During this time, he played alto saxophone and keyboard with the Revised Edition. He then moved north to Temiskaming where he farmed 160 acres while producing cream for the local buttery. He continued writing for community papers and performing live music. Gary began his long career with the Ontario Federation of Agriculture while up north and retired from the OFA as their Media Relations Coordinator. In retirement, he loved watching the news and listening to jazz music when he wasn’t out on the road visiting his favourite restaurants and taking photos of the nature around him. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life gathering will be held at the Elma Memorial Community Centre, 251 Main Street, Atwood on Saturday July 21, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. The family would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Mississauga Hospital for the compassion and care given to Gary.
