    of Atwood passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital. On January 12, 2026, at the age of 61, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and deep devotion to her family. Beloved wife of Brian Campbell, Barb will be lovingly remembered by her family. She was a devoted mother to Samantha (Michael) Schell of Listowel, Robert (Tracey) Campbell of Listowel, and Michelle (Anthony) Quipp of Atwood. Cherished grandmother to Keigen and Ryker Schell, Autumn and Logan Campbell, and Cameron Quipp.  Barb is also survived by her siblings Joe (Roseanne) Gleeson of Elmira, Pat (Audrey) Gleeson of Elmira, Phil (Debbie) Gleeson of Waterloo, Ed (Jennifer) Gleeson of Fergus, John (Cindy) Gleeson of Moorefield, Larry (Brenda) Gleeson of Drayton, Paul (Deb Beaton) Gleeson of Sundre, Alberta, and Louise (Larry) Ellis of Drayton. She is fondly remembered by her sister‑in‑law, Nancy Gleeson of Fort Langley, B.C., wife of her late brother Gerald Gleeson. She will also be remembered by her in‑laws Colleen Vetor of Waterloo, Brenda (Mike Graham) Campbell of Sedgewick, Alberta, Karen (Wayne) Rea of Cambridge, and Sharon Campbell of Listowel, along with many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. Barb was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Rita Gleeson, her parents‑in‑law, John and Anna Campbell, her brother Gerald Gleeson, her nephews Joshua Gleeson, Jason Gleeson and her great nephew Ethan Halford. Barb's greatest joy was her family, and her grandchildren they brought her endless pride and joy. Barb was known for her strength, her honesty, and her deep loyalty to the people she loved. She had a protective spirit and showed her care through action, always stepping in when someone needed her. Cremation has taken place.     Lawrence Kingwell Passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, in his 91st year. Beloved and devoted husband of Sharron, with whom he shared a love that was deep, steady, and unmistakable. Their life together was marked by faith, laughter, and unwavering companionship. Proud and loving father of Murray (Sharon) Kingwell and Paul (Evelyn) Kingwell. Cherished stepfather of Jeff (Krista) Mitchell and Julie (Al MacDonald) Mitchell. Lawrence was a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather who adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lawrence was a quiet source of strength to his family, always present, always dependable. Lawrence was a dear brother to Kenny (Linda) Kingwell, with whom he shared a close and meaningful bond. A man of deep faith, Lawrence was a devoted member of Listowel Pentecostal Church. His love for God guided his life, and his faith remained a constant source of comfort and purpose. He often leaned on the promise found in Psalm 91“You are loved.” Lawrence had a fondness for the simple joys in life, including his regular visits to Tim Hortons, and he was famously known for knowing his way around Southwestern Ontario, if you needed directions, Lawrence was the one to ask. He will be remembered for his kindness, his steady presence, his love for his family, and his unwavering faith. A private family service will be held. Burial will take place at Harriston Cemetery at a later date.     Betty Beaman passed away peacefully at Fordwich Village Nursing Home on January 1, 2026, at the age of 74. Beloved wife of Peter Beaman, Betty will be lovingly remembered by her family. She was a devoted mother to Tiffany (Simon Marsh) Buchanan of Atwood and Dean (Valerie) Buchanan of Listowel, and a caring stepmother to David Beaman and Krista (Ian) Emmerson. She was a cherished grandmother to Parker, Bayden, Sarah, Emily, and Megan, and a loving step-grandmother to Noah, Lia, Jasmine, Abbey, Poppy, Jeremy, Lilly, and Hazel. Betty is survived by her sister Brenda (Alfie) Vaughan and her brother Allan MacDonald, and was predeceased by her parents, George and Hilda MacDonald, and her sister-in-law Joan MacDonald. She is also fondly remembered by Thelma Will, longtime friend of her brother Allan. A woman who truly loved the simple joys of life, Betty cherished time spent with family and friends and had a special fondness for the Christmas season, which she celebrated with enthusiasm and warmth. She was an active member of Lucknow United Church and its choir, finding joy in music and fellowship, and she also enjoyed being part of a ukulele group. Betty was a loyal supporter and could often be found cheering proudly from the sidelines as she watched her son Dean play baseball.   • Annabile Elena Tavascia (Lena)

    Lena went to glory to meet her Lord and Saviour on Monday January 5, 2026 at Huronlea Home for the Aged in Brussels at the age of 87. Predeceased by her brothers, Dominic and Mike. And her sisters Ann and Irma. Predeceased by Mike Ferringo, the love of her life. It has been said of Lena that she is "always waiting on someone, always doing something for someone." Lena loved life to the fullest; people, dogs and especially pizza. God answered Lena's prayers by helping her to learn to love all people while doing so she encountered peace and love for herself. Lena will be deeply missed by all who knew her; until we meet again. Cremation has taken place per Lena's wishes and a private service will be held in the Spring of 2026. Loving father of Anne (Shawn Lawson) Laidlaw, Gail Laidlaw, Jamie (Trudy) Laidlaw, William (Jenn) Brown, Cindy Jennings and Kenneth (Krista) Brown. Cherished grandfather of Emma, Lily, Oliver, Hunter, Carley, Hannah, Kaylie, Parker, Shaymus, Shaelynne, Nathan, Jolie, Joslin and River. Survived by his mother Vivien (the late Kenneth) Laidlaw, his siblings Sandra (Ben) Wesselink, Jerry (Barb) Laidlaw, Rosemary Galloway (Jim Brubacher), Kevin (Anna) Laidlaw and sister in law Karen Laidlaw.   Predeceased by his first wife Marie Laidlaw, his brothers Doug (Susan) Laidlaw and Robert Laidlaw and his brother in law Kenneth Rea.    Donald was passionate about hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. He dreamed of simple living. He was involved in his community from the Atwood Lions Club, organizing and bringing sled dog races to Atwood. His kindness knew no bounds, helping anyone who was in need and will be remembered forever.     December 30 1958 - October 29, 2025 Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Rotary Hospice in Stratford on October 29 th  at the age of 66. Beloved wife of George Worth. Loving mother of Cindy (Jason) Fleming of Spruce Grove Alberta and Vicki Worth-Mabb (Kevin Mabb). Cherished grandmother of Jeffery (Kylie), Kolbie, Nicky (Daniesha), Jordan (Joelie), Taylor and great grandmother to Maven, Jaxy boy, Theo, Brinley, Brooks and a new arrival on the way. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Survived by her 5 sisters Predeceased by her parents Bill and Joan Luckhardt. Pat work for many years as a dispatch with Wilhelm excavating   and was very dedicated. Pat was also dedicated to her family and loved all her family very deeply.   • Terrance Yost

    Terrance (Terry) Lloyd Yost, the only child of Lloyd and Bertha Yost (Stephan) born in Listowel, Ontario passed on September 10, 2025 with close family and friends by his side (Listowel Memorial Hospital). Terry attended Listowel Central Public School and Listowel District Secondary School.  Following which he studied at Radio College Canada in Toronto.  Upon graduation he joined his father’s business (Yost Appliance and TV) in Listowel where he worked over 30 years. When the family business closed Terry joined the Schaeffler Group Stratford where he made many friends during twenty years of service. Predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Bertha Yost; Aunt Matilda Karl (Henry); Uncle William Stephan (Jean); in-laws, Charles and Winnifred Mann (Steiss); Brother-in-law, Fred Smith; sister-in-law, Barbara Moore (Mann), Survived by his wife Cheryl Yost (Mann); Son, Todd (Kelly Nicholson) and daughter Chelsey (Brandon Lindquist), grandchildren Garrett, Sydney, Carter and Grayson Yost; Charles and Faith Lindquist. Sister-in-law Sandra Smith (Mann) and brother-in-law John Mann; aunt Madeleine (the late Stewart) Steiss; aunt Eileen (the late Harry) Mann; cousins and nieces and nephews. Terry was well known and beloved as a dedicated farm community member.  He grew up working with his Dad in the family business and spent his weekends at the family cottage at Point Clark.  His love of the outdoors started at a young age fishing and playing at the beach and later spending time on their family farm tending to his beef cattle and working the crops.  His love of family guided all of his decisions and Terry loved the time spent at their camp on Manitoulin Island with Cheryl and his furry companion Missy, as well as friends from Canada and USA. He enjoyed time spent with the farmers at the Mitchell Coffee Group (Tim Hortons) solving all of the problems of the world.  In Terry’s opinion there was never a bad cup of coffee or bad hamburger.  His favourite hobby was to go on a crop tour, check the cattle, and know the history of each farm.  He was a faithful, kind, generous, and compassionate husband, father and grandfather and his death has left a huge hole in all of their lives.   Private family graveside service has been held.  Celebration of Life Sunday November 2 at Mitchell Golf and Country Club 1:30 until 4:00 (words of reflections at 2:00).     Born April 3, 1952 - October 30, 2025 Brian was born in Atwood, ON where he grew up and later owned and operated Atwood Auto Body for many years before moving on to paint at Smith Steel in Atwood. Brian will be missed dearly by his beloved wife Linda Duncan, his daughter Delaney Worton and her husband Chris, his stepdaughter Danielle Foster and her husband Kedric and his stepson Scott Lalonde and his wife Sharon, his grandchildren Brittney, Makenzie, Jadyn, Hunter, Hayden, Blake and Taylor and his great grandchildren Sophie and Emma, his sister Bonnie Berlett and her husband John, sister-in law Kathy Duncan and Ian Farrish and many nieces and nephews. Brian is predeceased by his parents Delford and Donna Duncan and his brother Barry Duncan. As per Brian wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at a later date.     August 18 1939- October 20, 2025 Passed away peacefully at Huronlea Home for the Aged, on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Helen Hamilton. Loving father of Julie Hamilton of Kincardine, Rob (Leanne) Hamilton of Atwood, Scott (Leanne) Hamilton of Listowel, and Kimberley (Nicolas) Reis of Belle Vallée. Cherished grandfather of Kelly (Mike) Guy, Kendra (Derek) Brown, Justin (Ashlee) Hamilton, Josie (Dave) McKay, Alicia (Jacob) Byiman, Stephanie (Kris) Cox, Cassandra (Matt) Brodhaecker, Destiney (Nick) Van Dam, Shelby Carson (Luke Danen), Dylan (Julia) Carson, and Sydney (Campbell Kippen). Proud great-grandfather of Bronwyn, Jael, the late Anniston, Hunter, Olivia, Keegan, Paiton, Olivia, Sully, Maria, Colton, Kiera, Conner, Bazz, Kayce, Blayze, Audrey, Jaxson, Sophie, Callum, and Elaina. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Ethel Hamilton. Barry attended Kitchener Collegiate Institute, where he studied carpentry and architecture, skills that served him throughout his life as a master craftsman. He was well known in the community for his many years as a bus driver, carpenter, and owner of the gas station on Main Street in Atwood. Barry was also a dedicated Boy Scout and Venture leader for decades, faithfully helping with community fundraisers, especially selling Christmas trees each holiday season. He was an avid HO scale train collector and loved sharing his passion for building and creativity with others. In earlier years, Barry helped design and build one of the first school buses. Before that innovation, he personally drove children to school in his car, ensuring they always had a safe ride. He loved his family deeply and cherished time spent at the family cottage in Point Clarke, enjoying summers by the lake and snowmobiling in the winter. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the staff of Huronlea for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Barry during his years there. Visitation will be held at Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John St., Atwood, on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 2–4 PM and 6–8 PM. A memorial service will take place at Atwood Presbyterian Church, Atwood, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 10 AM.     October 15 1931- October 23, 2025 Beloved wife of the late Bruce Bennett and Jack Bennett. Loving step mother to Brenda and Doug Browne. Daughter of the late Mabel and Bill Willoughby. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Eileen was born in Elma Township, spending most of her life in Howick Township. Eileen spent the last few years as a resident of the Fordwich Village Nursing Home. The family would like to thank the staff for their constant and high-quality care for Eileen over that time. Beloved wife of the late Jack Scholl (1992). Loving mother of Mary Helen (Ken) Dale of Stratford, Kevin “Cubby” Scholl of Atwood, Tanya (Lloyd) Kuepfer of Britton and the late Ron Scholl. Cherished grandmother of Joe (Karen) Scholl, Jeff (Shannon) Scholl, Kristy (Jamie) Taylor, Josh Dale (Sonja), Shane (Mai) Dale, Steven (Chelsea) Scholl, Lisa (Darryl) Dewar, Jackson Kuepfer, Lucas Kuepfer and the late Johnathan Scholl. Great grandmother of 10 with one on the way. Survived by her brother in law Fred Scholl and sister in law Doris Gordon. Predeceased by her siblings, Marion, Helen, Marg, Frank, Joe, Bud and Don. Maxine was a dedicated member of the Atwood Presbyterian Church.
