Alvin Ludington

February 15, 1938 to June 20, 2018

of Listowel, passed away surrounded by his family at University Hospital, London on Wednesday June 20, 2018 at the age of 80. Alvin was a member of Calvary United Church, Listowel. He enjoyed hunting, playing cards and watching his beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. Alvin was always ready to help anyone and will be remembered as the flower delivery man for Zehr’s Florist. Beloved husband of Judy (Smith) Ludington whom he married in 1964. Loving father of Brian (Sharon), Bonita, Brent (Denise) and Brad. Special grandpa of Alec, Lindsay, Simon and Sophie. Dear brother of Eric (Carole), Ross (Margaret), Gordon (Barb) and Doris Harrow (Jim). Fondly remembered by brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Elaine Pestell, David Smith (Janet) and by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Ken and Laura (Harrison) Ludington, granddaughter Victoria (in infancy), brothers Keith (in infancy), Fred and wife Audrey, sister-in-law Pauline Ludington, nephew Paul Ludington and brother-in-law Rae Pestell. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Thursday June 28 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Alvin’s life will be held at Calvary United Church on Friday June 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. George Russell officiating. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
