A memorial service to celebrate Frances' life will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 505 Wallace Ave N., Listowel on Saturday July 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ralph Dwarika officiating. I was born Francis Edith Rocher on January 29, 1921 to Matilda (Tillie) and Max (Jimmy) Rocher (deceased 1988 and 1977 respectively). Mom and Dad raised me, my two sisters; Thelma Katherine of Listowel and Eileen Louise (deceased 1996) and my brother, Calvin Kenneth (deceased 1992). Life was simple then and I was blessed to come from a loving family. I fell in love and married Bruce Edward "Ed" Rowland (deceased April 7, 2008) in September 1944. We had two wonderful children, Michael Edward and Nancy Eleanor. My love and pride for them has filled my heart everyday of my life. I have had the pleasure of watching them grow and develop into adults, marry their chosen partners and succeed in their life professions. Michael married Gayle and they live in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Nancy married Jim and they live in Stony Plain, Alberta. Nancy and Jim have two boys, Bruce (Leslie) and Doug (Connie). I feel fortunate that God granted me these years. It allowed me the pleasure to watch our family grow and the pure enjoyment of sharing a part of their lives with them. To all my family, neighbours and friends: I cherished you all, as I know you cherished me. Thank you for your love and support.
