Bernice passed away peacefully at her residence in Livingstone Manor, Listowel on Monday February 23, 2009. She was born 90 years ago in Elma Township, a daughter of the late Alexander and Isobella (Carruthers) Henry. Bernice taught at schools in Maryborough Township and Perth County for over 25 years. She was a member of Atwood Presbyterian Church and a life member of the WMS and Ladies Aid. Beloved wife of Ross Love whom she married in 1948. Loving mother of Hugh and Rhonda Love of RR2 Atwood, Nora and Ross Rocher of Mitchell and Sheila Love-Phillips of Rockwood. Special grandma of Anne & Jason Falk and their children Brett and Gavin, Sara Love and friend Kevin Mehring, Andrew Love, Scott and Lee Anne Rocher and their children Claire and Chloe, Catherine and Jeff Lucyk. Fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Helen Henry of Monkton, Mary Broughton of Atwood and by many nieces & nephews. Bernice was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by her brothers George Henry and his wife Gertrude, Lorne Henry; her sisters Laura Henry, Mae Harvey and her husband Bill and Isobell Battin and her husband Glen. Also predeceased by her brother-in-law Jack Broughton. As per Bernice's request, there will be no funeral home visitation. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Atwood Presbyterian Church on Friday February 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Rev. Cathrine Campbell will officiate. Spring interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
