    February 7, 1955 to May 1, 2022 Harold William Carter – It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Harold at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday May 1, 2022 at the age of 67 after a courageous journey with cancer. Harold had a great sense of humour, positive outlook on life and loved driving his 1970 Dodge Challenger. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Red Wings, the Toronto Blue Jays, snowmobiling and playing church hockey and baseball. He looked forward to his morning coffee hour group and northern fishing trips. Harold especially cherished all the time spent with his family and friends. Beloved husband of Cheryl (Buehler) Carter whom he married in 1980. Loving father of Janel (Rodney) Hiemstra, Tracy (Tyler) Andrews and Jeremy (Katie) Carter. Special grandpa of Noah and Jensyn Hiemstra, Mylah, Kennedy and Sawyer Andrews. Cherished brother and brother-in-law of Mary Carter, Alvin (Kara) Carter, Darrell (Jane) Buehler, Derrick (Karen) Buehler, Duane (Sue) Buehler, Angie (Paul) Raftis and Lisa Buehler.     June 12, 1930 to April 29, 2022 Eleanor Coulter formerly of RR2 Atwood, passed away peacefully at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton on Friday April 29, 2022 at the age of 91. Eleanor was a member of Atwood Presbyterian Church. She was a former member of a Ladies Quartet and a rural mail carrier for Canada Post for over 50 years. Eleanor cherished the time spent with family and friends at the cottage in Goderich. Beloved wife of the late Ross Coulter who predeceased her in 2003. Loving mother of Gordon (Linda) Coulter, Gail (Greg) Thomas, George (Gloria) Coulter. Special grandma of Shawn (Meghan), Todd (Katie), Amanda (Ryan), Jaime (Kyle), Scott (Parys), Phil (Frank), Whitney (Rick) and 17 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Doug (Gail) Schroeder.     December 18, 1928 to April 18, 2022 Goldie Stevenson passed away peacefully at Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels on Monday April 18, 2022 at the age of 93. Goldie was a former head cook at the Salvation Army in Kitchener for many years. She enjoyed sewing and cooking but especially cherished the time spent with her family. Beloved wife of the late Gord Stevenson who predeceased her in 1987. Loving mother of Doug (Linda) and Paul (Lisa). Phil was a salesman for Bondyn Products. He enjoyed four-wheeling, dirt biking and fishing at Belwood Lake with his sons. Phil also enjoyed racing super late model race cars. Fondly remembered by his sons Steven and Shawn and their mother Rosie Hartung, Charman Tye and her children Taysha and Trayton, the extended Kuepfer family and many nieces and nephews. Bruce was born in Sarnia on May 9, 1942, a son of the late William and Mary (Sheppard) Kennedy. Bruce was a former truck driver for Listowel Transport Lines, Auto Haulaway and Atwood Farm Supply. He enjoyed restoring antique tractors, attending truck and tractor shows and pulls and gardening. Bruce loved the time spent with family and friends at Woodland Lake Campground and Camp Gator. He will be missed by his cat Max. Beloved husband of the late Kathy Kennedy who predeceased him in 2020. Loving father of Heather Kennedy (David Steven), Sandra Kennedy (Don McCourt) and Nadine Kennedy. Special grandpa of Nicole and Joel Coleman and their son Jace, Morgan Ament, Travis and Caitlinn Bowman, and Holly Bowman. Brother of Janet Atkinson, Doris Gordon, Marilyn and Jack Goodyear, Mary and Kent Krueger. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews.     February 20, 1938 to April 1, 2022 Edythe Rock of RR3 Monkton, passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Friday April 1, 2022 at the age of 84. She was born February 20, 1938 to the late Hugh and Clara (Stoneman) Rinn. She married Elvey Rock in 1960 and had two daughters, Joanne Foster (Dave) and Jennifer Rock. Edythe enjoyed her years farming in Elma Township and leading the 4H Beef Club. Photography was one of Edythe’s talents, specializing in weddings and family photos. Edythe and Elvey enjoyed many motorhome adventures with the Ausable Nomads Club of Exeter, where she served as the Club President. Cherished grandma of Laurie Faulhafer (Kyle), Tim Misener, Michelle Olad (Mehdi), John Foster, and great-grandma of Cohen, Violet and Mileena. Fondly remembered by her brother John Rinn (Theresa), sisters-in-law Bernice Hutchison (Don), Lila Ruth Bullock (Bob Fries), Janet Rock and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Marjorie and husband Keith Rock and brother-in-law Bruce Rock. Cremation will occur and a Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date. Ruth was a member of the former Riverdale Mennonite Church where she was involved with the Sewing Circle and Food Committee. Ruth loved to travel and spend time at the trailer in Goderich, and cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Beloved wife of the late Sam Albrecht who predeceased her in 2012. Loving mother of Richard (Donna) of Beiseker AB, Ken of Millbank, Don of New Hamburg, Steve of Woodstock, Darlene (Dan) Ramer of Millbank. Grandma of Amanda (Justin), Natasha, Stephanie, Nathan (Amanda), Brad (Krystle), Jason (Stephanie), Zach (Alexxa) and great grandma of 9.     April 28, 1932 to March 14, 2022 Ruth Ward formerly of Monkton, passed away peacefully at Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell on Monday March 14, 2022 at the age of 89. Ruth was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Monkton where she sang in the church choir for 50 years and also served on many committees. For over 40 years, she ran the concession booth in Monkton which is now known as “Ruth’s Snack Shack”. Ruth was well known for her potato salad and subs. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, playing cards and loved spending time with her family. Beloved wife of the late Jack Ward who predeceased her in 1991. Loving mother of Barry (Angela), Bob (Val) and Kathy (Keith) Pehlke. Special grandma of Leanne and Marc and their children Liam and Connor; Trish and Jay and their children Reed and Cohen; Kevin and Heather and their daughter Emerson; Dylan and Nicole; Kylie and Nic; Kristy and Dan and their children Matthew, William and Elizabeth; Katelyn and Brandon and their children Ella and Avery; Kelly and Mike and their daughter Vaida.     May 31, 1931 to March 12, 2022 Margaret Chislett passed away at Huronlea Home for the Aged in Brussels on Saturday March 12, 2022 at the age of 90. Born in New Zealand and formerly of Listowel ON, she traveled extensively with her family and even more so after she met her future husband Reginald, where they were both serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force at Bagotville, Quebec. After they were married, they lived in many locations across Canada and in Germany as Reg was transferred on an average of every 4 years. Throughout her life Margaret developed many skills and was always willing to learn more. She enjoyed quilting, baking, cooking, doing word search and at various points in her life she worked a number of positions including as a bookkeeper, a parole office administrator and was the coordinator for Meals on Wheels in Hastings County. Beloved wife of the late Reginald Chislett who predeceased her in 2016. Loving mother of Doug Chislett (Debra Woodske), Dodi (Grant) Morgan, Bill (Leslie) Chislett. Special grandma of James, Jessica (Mike) and great-grandma of Jimmy and Annabelle. She will be fondly remembered by all her surviving family and friends. Predeceased by her parents Renton and Dorothy (Land) Hawkins, her brother William and his wife Josephine Hawkins, and her sister Dodie and her husband Al Brown. Margaret will join them in the family crypt at the Hamilton Cemetery.
