Hermanna van Leeuwen was called home to her Heavenly Father on Saturday March 26, 2022 at the age of 78. Formerly of RR4 Listowel, Hermanna passed peacefully into glory at Royal Terrace, Palmerston. Hermanna was an active member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Listowel. Beloved wife of Peter van Leeuwen whom she married in 1965. Loving mother of Ian (Sarah), Gary (Helen), Marcel (Wendy), John (Julia), Janice (Wesley), Hannah (Jason), Ben (Shelly). Cherished grandma of Anneke, Abby, Alyssa, Emily, Thomas, Rebecca (Evan), Daniel (Ashley), Josie (friend Ben), Kenneth, Matthew (Emily), Michael, Wyatt, Sawyer and great-grandma of Max. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Nick and Jessie Jonkman, Marilyn Metselaar, Dick and Tina Metselaar, Dave Cuffe, Jen Laursen, Henrietta and Ben Luiting, Sheryl Russell, Nel van Leeuwen, Andy and Penny van Leeuwen. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Gerrit and Gerritje Metselaar, step-mother Janny, son Matthew in infancy (1977), brothers Henk and his wife Norma Vanderhorst, Al Metselaar, sisters Margje Jonkman, Gerrie Cuffe, brothers-in-law Peter Laursen, Jan van Leeuwen, Henk van Leeuwen and Dick and Willy van Leeuwen. Visitation will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 345 Elizabeth Street E., Listowel on Tuesday March 29, 2022 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:30 a.m. with Pastor Henry Meinen officiating. Spring interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
