Vernal was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Monkton. He enjoyed woodworking and carving, loved dogs and cats and camping. Cheryl was formerly of RR2 Atwood. She was a member of Donegal United Church and Donegal Women's Institute. Cheryl loved painting, sewing, reading, but mostly loved spending time with her family. Beloved wife of Brian Dallner whom she married in 1971. Loving mother of Scott and Sherry, Bill and Melissa all of RR2 Atwood, Patti and Andrew Coghlin of Listowel. Special grammy of Madalyn, Joel, Logan, Carter, Grace and Sophia. Dear sister of Wayne and Marilyn Petrie of Manitoba, Larry Petrie of Lindsay, Bev and Jack Porterfield of Listowel. Fondly remembered by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Pauline and Keith Mueller of New Hamburg, Alan (Charlie) and Vicky Dallner of RR2 Atwood, Jean and Jim Welsh of Milverton and many nieces, nephews and cousins. December 4, 1954 to March 17, 2011 Ken Rea passed away tragically in Listowel serving his community on Thursday March 17, 2011 at the age of 56. He resided in Atwood and was the son of the late Oliver and Doreen (Hiusser) Rea. As a founding member of the Atwood Fire Department, Ken was a dedicated volunteer firefighter for 37 years serving as Deputy District Fire Chief (Atwood Station). He was a board member of Victim Services, enjoyed hunting, but mostly cherished time spent with his family. Beloved husband of Louise (Runhart) Rea whom he married in 1975. Loving father of Amy and Scott Copland of Mount Forest, Sara and Paul Furey of Baden, Beth and fiance Eric White of Cambridge. Cherished grandpa of Savannah, Jaxson and Jorja. Dear brother of Wayne and Karen Rea of Cambridge, Jean and Marty Ambedian of Windsor, Marie Laidlaw and Rick Thompson of Listowel. Kasey was a young man who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four wheeling, dirt biking and playing hockey. Cherished son of Kevin and Laurie (Hulley) Pestell of RR1 Stratford. Loving brother of Kraemer and friend Jessica O'Brien. He will be sadly missed by the family dog Dakota. Special grandson of Warren and Sharon Hulley of Monkton, Rae (deceased 2003) and Elaine Pestell of Mitchell and great grandson of John Campbell of Mitchell. April 15, 1921 to March 10, 2011 Nelson Gray formerly of RR2, Listowel, passed away peacefully at his residence Caressant Care Nursing Home, Listowel on Thursday March 10, 2011 at the age of 89. Nelson was the son of the late Russel and Lilius (Reid) Gray. He spent his life working very hard on the Gray family farm which has been in the Gray name since 1917. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Isabelle (Guy) Gray (2004) whom he married on September 14, 1948. Will always be remembered by daughter Brenda and her husband Barry Ashley of RR2 Listowel. Special grandpa of Andrew and Tammy Ashley of Wroxeter, April and Adam Atkinson of Fordwich, Ivy and John Ernest, Jeremy and Heather Gray all of Guelph and great grandpa of Brianna and Jenna Ashley, Keean and Amber Atkinson, Lita Ernest, Natasha and Griffin Gray. He enjoyed playing cards, farm sales, pie & ice cream, coffee social times, but mostly loved spending time with his family. Beloved husband of Marie (Hammond) Stephenson whom he married in 1949. Wayne was retired from the Ministry of Transportation with 32 years of service. He was a former member of the Monkton Fire Department for 15 years. Wayne enjoyed woodworking as a hobby and was especially proud of his 1950 International pick-up truck. Beloved husband of Bonnie (Machan) Golightly whom he married in 1961. Fred was a member of Calvary United Church, Listowel. He enjoyed farming, hunting, his years driving school bus and blowing snow for Atwood businesses and residences. Fred was also very proud of his family heritage. Beloved husband of Audrey (Baillie) Ludington whom he married in 1956. She was formerly of Atwood and resided at Maitland Terrace, Listowel. Agnes was a member of Atwood Presbyterian Church, a former member of the Atwood Evening Auxiliary and the Lily Dempsey Women's Institute. She spent many hours sewing, knitting and playing cards and had a true love of music, both playing and singing. Beloved wife of the late Earl Harrow who predeceased her in 1976.
