William (Bill) Stahlke

June 29, 1932 to October 7, 2011

Bill Stahlke, formerly of Monkton, passed away peacefully at Mitchell Nursing Home on Friday October 7, 2011 at the age of 79. Bill was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Monkton where he was a dedicated member of the board. He was also a board member of Ritz Lutheran Villa and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Beloved husband of Marg Stahlke whom he married in 1958. Loving father of Cindy Jackson of Pembroke, Mike and Bonnie, Greg and Janice all of Atwood. Special grandpa of John and Nat, Jessica and James, Jeffery, Chris and Mel, Danielle and Mike, Kristen, Taylor, Erin and great grandpa of Anika and Mason. Dear brother of Beatrice and Albert Kniesz of Brunner, Florence Beuerman of London and brother-in-law of Kathy Stahlke of Toronto, Ruth and Lawrence Schmidt of Monkton, Verna Morris of Stratford, Robert and Marjorie Elg of Listowel, Roy Elg of western Canada, Ralph and Eleanor Elg of RR2 Atwood, George and Barb Elg of RR4 Listowel, Bruce and Joanne Elg of RR2 Milverton. Fondly remembered by Rob, Ryan and Adam Swartz and by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents Gustave and Elizabeth (Youngblut) Stahlke, daughter Nancy in infancy, son-in-law Randy Jackson, brothers Adolph John in infancy and Albert Stahlke, parents-in-law Carl and Clara Elg, brother-in-law Steven Morris and sister-in-law Dorothy Elg. Bill's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Sunday October 9, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate his life will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Monkton on Monday October 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Marvin Bublitz officiating. Interment in Redeemer Cemetery, Monkton.
