He was proud to have been a member of the 25 year Honour Roll at Campbell Soup. Murray had served for four years as a Cadet in the Royal Canadian Army and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Listowel Branch 259. Husband of Laura (Dittmer) Middleton whom he married in 1955. Father of Ruth and Tim Thalheimer of Mitchell, Paul Middleton of Port Elgin, and father-in-law of Giorgio Silvestrin of Mitchell. Grandfather of Tim, Phillip, Nicole and Julian. Predeceased by his parents William and Jennie (Ward) Middleton, his daughter Phebe and his sister Shirley Mae in infancy. In keeping with Murray's wishes, there will be no funeral home visitation or service. Cremation has taken place. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery at a later date.

    October 18, 1952 to April 3, 2012 Garry Pestell, of Monkton, passed away as a result of a car accident, on Tuesday April 3rd, 2012 at Stratford General Hospital. He was born 59 years ago, a son of Lillian Pestell of Milverton and the late Jack Pestell. Garry was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a great supporter of the local hockey organizations and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandson Russell. Beloved husband of Colleen (Machan) Pestell whom he married in 1982. Loving father of Catherine and Brent Pryce of Winthrop and special grandfather of Russell. Dear brother of Ken Pestell of Monkton, Bonnie and Larry Krieger of Capreol, Patti Fuhr of Mitchell, Brian and Darlene Pestell of Bayfield, Doug and Paula Pestell of Acton, Murray Pestell and Sherri Blake of Monkton. Fern was a member of John Wesley United Church, Sault Ste. Marie and a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star Nokomis Chapter. Beloved wife of the late Harry Manson who predeceased her in 1995. Loving mother of Darlene Rains of Ethel, Bob and Fran Manson of Sault Ste. Marie. Special grandma of Jennifer and Steve Cochrane of Ethel, Andy and Twyla Rains of Stratford, Jeff and Suzanne Manson of Sault Ste. Marie, Stefani and Mike Bouchard of Blind River, fourteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Fondly remember by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Archibald and Zeatha (MacIntyre) McLean and her son-in-law Raymond Rains. Fern was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by five sisters and three brothers. In keeping with Fern's wishes, cremation has taken place.
