May 16, 1917 to December 7, 2011 Carl Alfred Ruppel, of Palmerston, passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Wednesday December 7, 2011 at the age of 94. United again with his loving wife Lloye Ruppel who predeceased him in 1999. Sadly missed by nephews Neil McDonald (Chong Huang) of Kitchener, David Linton of BC, the Adams family of Palmerston and many dear friends. Carl was a World War II Veteran of the 28th Field Ambulance and served on the Lady Nelson Hospital Ship from July 15th 1942-January 26th 1946. He was also a devoted parishioner of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Listowel. Predeceased by his parents John and Ida (Lehman) Ruppel. In keeping with Carl's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery Listowel.
