Annie McCourt

November 17, 1916 to August 5, 2012

Annie McCourt, of Atwood, passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday August 5, 2012 at the age of 95. Annie was a member of Atwood United Church, Atwood UCW, Atwood Valentine Rebekah Lodge No. 343 and was Past District Deputy of Stratford District No. 29. Annie enjoyed playing cards, quilting and spending time with grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beloved wife of the late Clarence McCourt who predeceased her in 1985. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Joyce Raycraft and friend Rae Thompson of Atwood. Mother-in-law of Joyce and her husband Jim Spence of Goderich. Special grandma of Don McCourt, Mike and Jackie McCourt, Judy and Kevin Dewar, Bevon and Barb Raycraft, Brent and Nicola Raycraft, Brad Raycraft, great grandma of Matthew, Kyle, Sydney, Cooper, Nicolas, Victoria, Randy, Evan and Samantha, Becky, Cory, Brittany and Natasha. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her son Murray, son-in-law Jack Raycraft and her sister Agnes and husband Earl Harrow. Annie's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Friday August 10 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday August 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michelle Owens and Brian Hymers officiating. Interment in Donegal Cemetery.
