R. Alexander Nichol

December 22, 1931 to August 15, 2012

R. Alexander Nichol, of RR2 Atwood, passed away peacefully with family at his side, at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Wednesday August 15, 2012 at the age of 80. Alex was a member of Atwood Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed woodworking and tinkering with antique tractors. Beloved husband of Bev (Hyde) Nichol whom he married in 1963. Loving father of Pauline and Peter Howard of RR2 Atwood, Nancy and Bert Vorstenbosch of RR3 Mitchell, Glenn and Jennie Nichol of RR2 Atwood, Donna and Stephen Mitchell of RR1 Listowel, Ross and Melanie Koch Nichol of RR1 Atwood. Special grandpa of Nicole, Jacob, Zac, Elysha, Julia, Alyssa, Natalie, Brianna, Dayna, Austin, Connor, Tyler, Kaedyn, Liam, Brock and Aria. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Isabel and Harry Kozicki of Mannheim, Archie Morris of Fullarton, Grace and Edwin Rothwell of Stratford, Marion and Roy McKay of Mitchell. Fondly remembered by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents William and Hildred (Alexander) Nichol and his sisters Marilyn Morris and Margaret Nichol. Alex's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Friday August 17 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday August 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Atwood Presbyterian Church with Rev. Andrew Thompson officiating. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
