October 30, 1944 to June 3, 2015 Dan Gerber of Millbank, passed away suddenly as a result of a heart attack, at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Wednesday June 3, 2015 at the age of 70. Dan was a member of Poole Mennonite Church. His hobby of restoring John Deere tractors began in 1996 and turned into a full time job with his son Tony in 2003. Dan loved spending time with his family, especially sports events with his grandchildren and more recently enjoyed time riding his motorcycle. Theresia was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Listowel. Beloved wife of the late Salvatore (Sam) Cadeddu who predeceased her on August 6, 2014. Theresia and Salvatore met each other in the sixties in Italy, in Perugia, where Theresia studied the Italian language and Sam lived at that time. They were married since 1967 and they had a very close relationship together. Fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law Paula Van der Putt, Annerieke Smulders and her nieces and nephews in Holland. October 9, 1926 to May 23, 2015 Vera Louise Pehlke-Lindner passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Saturday May 23, 2015 at the age of 88. She was born on October 9, 1926 to William and Freda (Kahle) Bennewies. On June 2, 1948 she married Wilfred Pehlke. They farmed in Elma Township until they retired to Monkton In May of 1979. Wilfred passed away December 26, 1979. She later married Milton Lindner on June 23, 1984 and he passed away October 16, 2001. Survived by her children Howard and Ruth Anne, Linda, Ron and Jacquie, Jeff, Brad, Steven and companion Norma Wilker, her brother Ivan Bennewies and his friend Vera Ahrens. Remembered by her grandchildren, Kim, Janice (Trevor McLeod), Lee, David, Barb and Tonya, great grandchildren Michelle and Andrew and many nieces and nephews. Sister-in-law of Lorene Ryan, Lillian and George Smith, Elsie Tryfry and Joan Pehlke. June 27, 1930 to May 1, 2015 Laverne Jantzi finished the course and was received into his eternal home on Friday May 1, 2015 at Knollcrest Lodge Milverton in his 85th year following a courageous struggle with ALS. Lovingly remembered by his children, Glen and Ellie of St Clements, Myron and Mary of Brunner, Larry and Dorothy of Calgary, Ruth Anne and Jonathan Koch of Stratford, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Ruth (Jantzi) in 1995, brother Ivan and sister-in-law Marie, parents Nicholas and Mary and granddaughter Rebecca. Laverne will be missed by surviving brothers and sisters-in-law, Irvin and Ellen Jantzi, Ohmer and Esther Jantzi and nieces and nephews. Also missed by special friend Florence McFarlane. In 1997 Laverne married Ruth (Roth) who predeceased him in 2010. Jean was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Listowel where she had served as elder. She was also a member of the Willing Workers and a 50 year member of the Elma Centre Women's Institute. Jean was the librarian at the Listowel Library for over 25 years. Along with Brad Scheifele, Jean organized many bus trips for seniors to places in Canada and the United States.
