October 30, 1944 to June 3, 2015

Dan Gerber of Millbank, passed away suddenly as a result of a heart attack, at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Wednesday June 3, 2015 at the age of 70. Dan was a member of Poole Mennonite Church. His hobby of restoring John Deere tractors began in 1996 and turned into a full time job with his son Tony in 2003. Dan loved spending time with his family, especially sports events with his grandchildren and more recently enjoyed time riding his motorcycle. Beloved husband of Darlene (Schwartzentruber) Gerber whom he married in 1970. Loving father of Jamie Gerber and Livian Gould, Tony Gerber and Cathy Steckly. Cherished grandpa of Jordyn, Brady and Joshua. Dear brother of Mahlon and Anna Mae Gerber, Dorothy and Amos Lichty, brother-in-law of Gloria and Gary Boshart, and Bonnie and Dennis Stemmler. Fondly remembered by Jordyn and Brady's mother Lynnette and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Chris and Mary S. (Lichti) Gerber. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Saturday June 6 from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Dan's life will be held at Poole Mennonite Church on Sunday June 7, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Paul Dyck officiating. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery.
