September 21, 1931 to June 29, 2019 Elmer Erb – formerly of Millbank, passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence in Nithview Retirement Home, New Hamburg on Saturday June 29, 2019 at the age of 87. Elmer was a member of Maple View Mennonite Church. He drove school bus for the Waterloo Region District School Board for over 20 years. Elmer was also well known as a plowing competitor and champion at the International Plowing Match and other regional plowing matches. Ron was a former fireman for Grey Township for 25 years retiring in 1981. He was a community minded person who was involved in playing and coaching baseball, volunteering on the former Moncrief Hall board and the 1967 Centennial Celebrations committee for Grey Township. Ron enjoyed curling, snowmobiling and the card parties in his shop. Beloved husband of Doris (Hoppenrath) whom he married in 1957. Loving father of Joanne (Greg) Hood and Murray (Tracy) McLean.
