November 26, 1925 to July 25, 2010 Carl Wilken of Atwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday July 25, 2010 at the age of 84. Carl was a member of Atwood Presbyterian Church where he served as Elder and on the Board of Managers. He was a former member of the Independent Order of Foresters and the Atwood Fire Department and enjoyed spending time as a volunteer driver for the Canadian Cancer Society and Knollcrest Lodge. Carl was also well known as a school custodian for nearly 25 years at Listowel District Secondary School and Elma Township Public school. Beloved husband of Betty (Inglis) Wilken whom he married in 1957. Loving father of Carole Wilken of London, Brenda and Bryan Ames of Atwood, Pauline and Ross Hoffman of Lucan. Special grandpa of Lindsey Ames, Josh Ames, Shelby Hoffman and Bryce Hoffman. Dear brother of John and Marilyn Wilken of Sweaburg, Jean and Larry Clarke of Listowel, brother-in-law of Cedric Hotton of Lindsay and Alistair Inglis of Listowel. Elizabeth was a faithful member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Monkton. She was president of the WMS for many years, an active member of the WA, and secretary-treasurer of the Huron-Perth Presbytery for 6 years. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking and traveling. Beloved wife of Carl Stewart whom she married in 1964. Loving mother of Ron Stewart and friend Cheryl of Brockville, Al and Tanya (Bontaine) Stewart of Monkton, Jennifer Calder of Monkton and Leanne Stewart of Stratford.
