October 21, 1942 to November 1, 2010

Delores Buchanan of RR4 Listowel, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Monday November 1, 2010 at the age of 68. Delores was a member of Donegal United Church.

Beloved wife of Andy Buchanan whom she married in 1963. Loving mother of Faye and Jim Brubacher of Heidelberg, Steve and Donna Buchanan of Mount Forest, Rhonda and Mike Dietrich of Listowel. Special grandma of Cassandra, Eric, Katelynn, Austin and Brody. Dear sister of Mary Strachan of Listowel, Larry Pestell and Arlene Riehl of Trowbridge, Lorraine and Tom Dewar of Listowel, Faye Welsh of Waterloo and Robert Pestell of Monkton. Fondly remembered by sisters-in-law Lillian Pestell of Monkton, Pauline Pestell of Orillia, Elaine Pestell of Mitchell, Nina Cummings of Listowel, Shirley Buchanan, Jessie Buchanan both of Atwood, brothers-in-law Jimmy Buchanan and Howard Darroch both of Atwood and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by her parents Russ and Elizabeth (Smith) Pestell, her sister Donna Nicholls, brothers Jack, Joe and Rae and brothers-in-law Roger Strachan and Paul Welsh.

Delores' family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood, on Wednesday November 3, 2010 from 1-3 & 6-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Delores’ life will be held at Donegal United Church on Thursday November 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michelle Owens officiating. Interment to follow in Donegal Cemetery.
