Wayne Golightly

November 22, 1939 to January 16, 2011

Wayne Golightly, of Monkton passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday January 16, 2011 at the age of 71. Wayne was retired from the Ministry of Transportation with 32 years of service. He was a former member of the Monkton Fire Department for 15 years. Wayne enjoyed woodworking as a hobby and was especially proud of his 1950 International pick-up truck. Beloved husband of Bonnie (Machan) Golightly whom he married in 1961. Loving father of Doug (Si) and friend Cheryl Morden of Emsdale, Dennis and Kathy, Charlene and Bill Hamilton all of Monkton. Special grandpa of Michael and his children Saige and Hailey, Brandy and friend Todd, Jake, Alexa and Jesse. Fondly remembered by his Aunt Betty Maedel and her family and by the Machan family. Predeceased by his parents Lorne (Si) and Marie (Maedel) Golightly, aunt Illa Maedel and uncle Carl Maedel. Wayne's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood, on Tuesday January 18, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the funeral service to celebrate his life at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
