Terrance (Terry) Lloyd Yost, the only child of Lloyd and Bertha Yost (Stephan) born in Listowel, Ontario passed on September 10, 2025 with close family and friends by his side (Listowel Memorial Hospital). Terry attended Listowel Central Public School and Listowel District Secondary School.  Following which he studied at Radio College Canada in Toronto.  Upon graduation he joined his father’s business (Yost Appliance and TV) in Listowel where he worked over 30 years. When the family business closed Terry joined the Schaeffler Group Stratford where he made many friends during twenty years of service.

Predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Bertha Yost; Aunt Matilda Karl (Henry); Uncle William Stephan (Jean); in-laws, Charles and Winnifred Mann (Steiss); Brother-in-law, Fred Smith; sister-in-law, Barbara Moore (Mann),

Survived by his wife Cheryl Yost (Mann); Son, Todd (Kelly Nicholson) and daughter Chelsey (Brandon Lindquist), grandchildren Garrett, Sydney, Carter and Grayson Yost; Charles and Faith Lindquist. Sister-in-law Sandra Smith (Mann) and brother-in-law John Mann; aunt Madeleine (the late Stewart) Steiss; aunt Eileen (the late Harry) Mann; cousins and nieces and nephews.

Terry was well known and beloved as a dedicated farm community member.  He grew up working with his Dad in the family business and spent his weekends at the family cottage at Point Clark.  His love of the outdoors started at a young age fishing and playing at the beach and later spending time on their family farm tending to his beef cattle and working the crops.  His love of family guided all of his decisions and Terry loved the time spent at their camp on Manitoulin Island with Cheryl and his furry companion Missy, as well as friends from Canada and USA. He enjoyed time spent with the farmers at the Mitchell Coffee Group (Tim Hortons) solving all of the problems of the world.  In Terry’s opinion there was never a bad cup of coffee or bad hamburger.  His favourite hobby was to go on a crop tour, check the cattle, and know the history of each farm.  He was a faithful, kind, generous, and compassionate husband, father and grandfather and his death has left a huge hole in all of their lives.   Private family graveside service has been held.  Celebration of Life Sunday November 2 at Mitchell Golf and Country Club 1:30 until 4:00 (words of reflections at 2:00).
