Stanley Bentley

September 24, 1945 to February 7, 2020

Stanley Bentley – of Listowel, formerly of Cranbrook, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Wingham and District Hospital on Friday February 7, 2020 at the age of 74. Stan enjoyed gardening, fishing, and sports, especially playing hockey. Beloved husband of Beverley (Wood) Bentley whom he married in 1965. Loving father of Dean (Lori) Bentley. Special grandpa of Jessica (Josh) Wesselink and John Bentley (Rolinda Nagel). Dear brother of Lee (Pauline), Sharon Murphy and Danny (Iowen). His special little fury friend and Friday playmate, Ozzie, will sadly miss him. Brother-in-law of Ruthann Siemon and Bruce Wood. Fondly remembered by his Goddaughter Jackie McKee and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents Carl and Phyllis (Hendry) Bentley, brother Terry and sisters-in-law Lillian McNaughton, Shirley Askett and Eileen Gill. In keeping with Stan’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. Spring interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
