Milton Brodhagen

April 7, 1931 to December 14, 2020


Milton Brodhagen – of Rostock, formerly of Route 1 Brunner, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday December 14, 2020 at the age of 89. Milt was a long- time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Moserville where he served many years on Church Council. His entire life was spent farming and raising pigs. Milt’s hobby was attending auction sales in his spare time. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking and trying new recipes for them. Beloved husband of the late Helen (Berg) Brodhagen who predeceased him in 2000. Loving companion of Joan Fink. Dear father of Murray (Linda), Jean (Bill) Roach, Dennis (Mary Lou), Steven (deceased 1971). Special grandpa of Andrew (Megan), Marie (Andrew), Kelly (Kyle), Kim (Gary), Melissa (Kyle), Jeremy (Stephanie) and great-grandpa of Lachlan, Madison, Maisie, Emily, Natalie and Archer. Fondly remembered by Joan’s children, Randy (Barb), Sandra (Bernie), David (Joanne), Bryan (Renee), her 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Gertrude Lawson and Margaret Berg and many nieces and nephews. Milt was the last surviving member of his family being predeceased by his parents John and Carolyn (Meyer) Brodhagen, sisters Martha (Roy) Daer, Georgina (Elmer )Ford, Freida (Harold) Mogk, Elsie (Melvin) Voll, brothers Edward (Mary) Brodhagen, Wilfred Brodhagen, Reuben (Mabel) Brodhagen and brothers-in-law John, Morris and Ralph Berg, and sister-in-law Leila (Ted) Davis. A private family graveside service will take place at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Moserville with Pastor Bonnie Schelter-Brown officiating.
