Phyllis Rennick

April 8, 1929 to December 9, 2020

formerly of Monkton, passed away peacefully at Maplewood Long Term Care Home, Brighton on Wednesday December 9, 2020 at the age of 91. Phyllis was a school teacher starting at #7 Hibbert Township School. Her career included Monkton School for 6 years and she ended her career in a Logan Township School. She was always an active member of the Pentecostal Church, first in Exeter, then Monkton and Listowel. Together with her husband Ken, they built and pastored the Pentecostal Church in Monkton for over thirty years. Phyllis was instrumental in organizing and leading Vacation Bible Schools, involved with the children’s Church ministry, and visiting and leading services at local nursing homes. Beloved wife of the late Ken Rennick who predeceased her in 2008. Loving mother of Doug (Nancy) of Goderich, Brian (Colleen) of Buckhorn, Pauline (Horst) Unger of Chilliwack B.C., Martin (Joanne) of Stratford, Dwayne (Jean) of Petawawa, Sharon (George) Osvald of Brighton. Special Grandma of Brad, Carrie, Paul, Tiffany, Ryan, Dori, Laura, Michael, Conner, Carter, Elaine, Joelle and Great-Grandma of Simon, Owen, Nicholas, Joshua, Emmeline, Eleanor, Monroe, Jarvis, Lennox, Kensington, Alexa, Sophie, Jubilee, Grace and Elijah. Dear sister of Blanche Cudmore, Joyce Volkers, and Wanda McLaren. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Keith and Ruth (Jory) McLaren, her brother Rodney McLaren, brothers-in-law Ken Cudmore and Wim Volkers. A private family service will be held at Brenneman Funeral Home, Atwood, with Pastor Ray Faulkner officiating. Interment in North Logan Cemetery, Monkton.
