Mildred Douglas

July 25, 1919 to March 9, 2011

Mildred Douglas passed away peacefully, at her residence Caressant Care Nursing Home, Listowel, on Wednesday March 9, 2011 at the age of 91. Mildred was a former member of the Donegal Women's Institute and the Donegal U.C.W. She enjoyed spending time quilting. Beloved wife of the late Ralph Douglas who predeceased her in 2004. Loving mother of Marie and Roy Krauter of Goderich, Gerald and Carolyn of Grand Bend, Roy and Colleen of Point Clark, Harold and Connie of St. Marys, Lloyd (deceased) and Ruth Douglas of Stratford. Fondly remembered by 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Also missed by her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law Marguerite Beirnes of Listowel, Walter and Laura Douglas of Stratford, Dorothy Pinkerton of London and Mary Douglas of Winnipeg. Predeceased by her parents Bill and Gladys (Blowers) Beirnes, brothers Bill, Cliff and wife Margaret, Ralph, and her sister Helen and husband Stan Alexander. Mildred's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood, on Saturday April 2, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service to celebrate her life at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Michelle Owens officiating. Spring interment in Donegal Cemetery.
