Mary Broughton

December 3, 1920 to November 9, 2016

Mary Broughton – formerly of Atwood, passed away peacefully at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton on Wednesday November 9, 2016 at the age of 95. Mary was a member of Atwood United Church where she held many different offices and had the distinction of being the first female elder.

Beloved wife of the late Jack Broughton who predeceased her in 2007. Loving mother of Pauline Curran and John Broughton (Linda). Special grandma of Jamie Curran (Mary Fran), Mark Curran (Becca) and Jeremy Bedard. Great grandma of Kaye-Loni (Alex), Justin, Taylor (Curtis), Matthew and Nick and great great-grandma of Paizley and Delaiyna. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents John and Jean (McIntosh) Love, son-in-law Austin Curran and brother Ross (Bernice) Love.

In keeping with Mary’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood at a later date.
