passed away peacefully at her residence in Maples Nursing Home for Seniors, Tavistock on Wednesday October 17, 2018 at the age of 100. Laura was a member of Poole Mennonite Church and a former member of the WMSC. Along with her husband Alfred, she was a former volunteer with Sonlight Missions and at Country Meadows in Brunner. They also enjoyed travelling together. Beloved wife of the late Alfred Kipfer who predeceased her in 2016. Loving mother of Lloyd and Barb Kipfer and Doreen and Don Roth. Cherished grandma of Brent (Sarah), Bryan (Anita), Bryce (Anjana), Brad (Kelly), Lori (Travis), Dennis (Yvonne) and great grandma of Joel, Micah, Joanna, Markus, Julia, Lena Kate, Daniel, Nayan, Kiaan, Kingston, Levi, Braeden, Connor, Carter and Zach. Sister-in-law of Dora Roth and Ralph Kropf. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Laura was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by her parents Eli and Nancy (Nafziger) Roes, her sisters Emma and husbands Raymond Gerber and Amos Steckly, Esther Kropf, her brothers Alvin and wife Marie Roes, David and wife Mildred Roes, sister-in-law Marion and husband Edward Lebold and brother-in-law Michael Roth. Visitation will be held at Poole Mennonite Church, 6475 Perth Road 121, on Friday October 19 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate Laura’s life will be held on Saturday October 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Fred Redekop and Pastor Brent Kipfer officiating. Interment to follow in the adjoining church cemetery.
