formerly of North Perth, went Home to be with his Lord, at Hillside Manor, Sebringville, on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Jeltje “Ellie” Vandergoot, whom he married in 1967.Caring father of Petra and Jelly Vandergoot of Holland, Walter and Ella Vandergoot of Atwood, Jacquelien and Bert Meijering of Trowbridge, Jelleke and Frank Sluys of Listowel, and Nienke Vandergoot and Jason Griffith of Atwood. Special Opa of Jeffrey (Riley), Robin, Toby, Janine, Dennis, Jordy (Kelly), Julian, Benjamin, Ryan (Rachel), Kimberly (Jordan), Simon, Emily, and also Pieter and Owen, both in heaven. Great-Opa of Sydney and Martha. Remembered by family near and far. Predeceased by his parents Watte and Saakje (Talsma) Vandergoot.Visitation will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, Listowel, on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. The service will be live-streamed and the link available on the church and funeral home websites. Private family interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
