Jasper Farrish

February 11, 1925 to November 13, 2018

formerly of Gorrie, passed away peacefully at Braemar Nursing Home, Wingham on Tuesday November 13, 2018 at the age of 93. He was born on February 11, 1925 in Ashfield Township, Huron County. Jasper served in WWII and was a member of the RCAF for 30 years. In later years he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 307 Howick. Jasper was an awesome, hard working person and he will be loved and missed by all. Beloved husband of Cherie (Adams) Farrish whom he married in 1949. Loving father of Linda and husband Brian Duncan, Michael and wife Bonnie and Ian Farrish. Special grandfather of Scott and wife Sharon, Danielle and husband Kedric, Delaney and husband Chris, J.R., Penny, Marjorie, Rosie and Willie and great-grandfather of Hunter, Hayden, Blake, Taylor, Brittney, McKenzie and Jadyn. Fondly remembered by his sister Millie Leader, sister-in-law Helen Farrish, brother-in-law George Adams and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Elmer and Hilda (Whyte) Farrish, his son Brent, brothers Bower and Johnston, sister Maxine Adams and brother-in-law Don Leader. In keeping with Jasper’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial visitation to celebrate Jasper’s life will be held at the Brenneman Funeral Home, Atwood, on Sunday November 18, 2018 from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Hawkins sharing words of remembrance at 4:00 p.m. A Legion service under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 307 Howick will take place at 2:00 p.m. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to: London Health Sciences Foundation 747 Base Line Road E.
