Jack Dinsmore

May 17, 1938 to January 2, 2018

of Listowel, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at the age of 79. Jack was a member of the former Trowbridge United Church. He attended the McDonald’s Coffee Club, enjoyed the mystery weekend travelers group, camping with Betty and the Gatorville crew, and spending time with his family. Beloved husband of the late Betty (Hamilton) Dinsmore who predeceased him in 2015. Loving father of Mike (Shelley), Brian (Terry) and Paul (Bonnie). Special grandpa of Jeramey (Candace), Allison (Andrew), Tyler (Emily), Mark, Jeff (Danielle) and Lindsay (Danny). Dear brother of Dave (Jean), Jean Ashley, Doris Ashley (Ron) and brother-in-law of Eileen Ament, Bob and Isabel Hamilton, and Pat Hamilton. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Marion (Pritchard) Dinsmore, brother Bob and his wife Marg Dinsmore, and brother-in-law Cal Ashley. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Friday January 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Jack’s life will be held at the Elma Memorial Community Centre, 251 Main Street, Atwood on Saturday January 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Colin Snyder officiating. Spring interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood. A special thank-you to Dr. Edmonds and the 1st Floor nursing staff at Listowel Memorial Hospital.
