It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Irene Betty Partridge at Knollcrest Lodge in Milverton, on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the age of 73.
Born on July 19, 1951, Irene was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Partridge. She was a loving mother to Virginia (Dave) Lawson of Clinton, Heather (Adam) Barnier of Stratford and Ryan Partridge of Brunner. Irene was the cherished grandmother of Tuesday Boyd. She will be dearly missed by her brother Rick (Lorrie) Diehl and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Kevin Partridge, Bonnie (Wray) Lealess and Kim (Kevin) Culligan.
Irene was the oldest of five children and was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Mabel Diehl her in-laws John and Dallas Partridge, her sister Shirley (Jake) Neeb and her brothers Lloyd Jr. and Murray Diehl.
Irene dedicated her career to cooking, starting at the Ritzvilla and Mitchell Nursing Home. She later finished her career at Knollcrest Lodge, where she cooked for twenty-three years until her retirement. Beyond her professional life, Irene was a devoted family woman who also farmed her entire life. She was an avid gardener and found immense joy in nature. In her earlier years she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, and various crafts. Irene loved road trips and scenic Sunday car rides with her family creating cherished memories. She also shared her faith by teaching Sunday school at Monkton United Church.
Irene was known for her incredibly kind and gentle spirit, touching the hearts of everyone she met.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood, on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Irene's life will take place at Brenneman Funeral Home on Friday, June 27, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Elma Centre Cemetery.
