Ward, Harvey – of Monkton, passed away after a brief illness, at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Monday October 24, 2016 at the age of 86. Harvey was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Monkton and a former volunteer firefighter with the Monkton Fire Station. He enjoyed playing cards and fishing for speckled trout. Beloved husband of Eldeen (Raycraft) Ward with whom he would have shared 66 years of marriage on November 4th. Loving father of Doug (Elaine), Daryle (Kim), Lyle (Heidi) and father-in-law of Rick Davidson (Diann). Special grandpa of Cory (Sherry Lynn), Tara (Gary), Angela (Chris), Jennifer, Tim (Rosanna), Jeremy (Melinda), Kristina (Ben), Micheal (Angie), Derek (Andrea), April (Derek), Devon (Sarah), 31 great-grandchildren and 5 step great-grandchildren. Brother of Sally Scott, Jim Ward and brother-in-law of Olive Ward, Terry Ward and Ruth Ward. Fondly remembered by the Ward nieces and nephews and the extended Raycraft family. Predeceased by his parents William and May (Tarr) Ward, his daughter Val Davidson, grandsons Craig (in infancy), Jason, Marty and his brothers Frank, Elgin, Victor, Clayton, Jack and sisters-in-law Marie and Doris. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Elma Memorial Community Centre, 251 Main Street, Atwood on Thursday October 27 from 2 - 4 and 6 - 9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Friday October 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Marc Fraser and Rev. Ernie Naylor officiating. A private family interment in North Logan Cemetery will follow.
