Gladys May Buchanan

May 14, 1921 to October 24, 2008

Gladys passed away peacefully at her residence, Spruce Lodge, Stratford on Friday October 24, 2008. She was formerly of Listowel and was born 87 years ago in Listowel, a daughter of the late Oscar and Winnifred (Harris) Richards. Beloved wife of the late Carman Buchanan who predeceased her in 2000. Loving mother of Bruce and Heather Buchanan of Stratford, Brenda and David Sanderson of Kitchener, Brian and Nancy Buchanan of Lee Valley. Special Grandma of Shawn and Bianca Buchanan and their daughter Anika; Shelley and Darryl Berg and their children Aaron and Maya; Kristie MacDonald; Chad and Lorna Sanderson and their daughter Paige; Amy and Tim Brown and their children Saffron and Payton; Elissa Buchanan; Andrew Buchanan; Crystal and Barry Elliott and their family Ryan and Conja Elliott and their daughter Kira, Kyle Elliott and Nicole Elliot; Steve Lautenslager and his children Evan and Jordan; Dwight and Deborah Konings and their children Dayna and Drue. Also remembered by her son-in-law Albert Johnson, one sister, one brother and by many nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her daughter Bernice Johnson, granddaughter Kimberly Lautenslager, two sisters and three brothers. A memorial service to celebrate Gladys1 life will be held in the Griffith Auditorium, Spruce Lodge, 643 West Gore Street, Stratford on Friday October 31, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Jay Jayaraman will officiate. Interment will be in Donegal Cemetery.
