Elwood James (Pat) Wilson – of Route 2 Atwood, passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Monday May 2, 2016 at the age of 87. Pat was a member of Atwood United Church, past chairman of the Board of Elma Centre Cemetery and a member of the Atwood Mens Club for 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family. Pat played bagpipes with the Listowel Legion Pipe Band for over 60 years. Beloved husband of Ferne (McNeilly) whom he married in 1957. Loving father of Ron and Debbie, Don and Leanne, Karen and Dave Schmidt. Cherished grandpa of Amanda, Becky, Terri and friend Jeff, Cory, Kelsey and Shelby. Dear brother-in-law of Irene Wilson, Elma and Adrian Konings and Doris McNeilly. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Pat was the last surviving member of his family being predeceased by his parents Bert and Elva (Cuthbertson) Wilson, sisters Dorothy and Beth, twin brother Elgin and his wife Marguerite, brother George and brother-in-law Bill McNeilly. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Wednesday May 4 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Thursday May 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Ruth Long officiating. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
