Beth Pehlke – formerly of Monkton, passed away unexpectedly at Stratford General Hospital on Wednesday September 28, 2016 at the age of 88. Beth resided at Country Meadows Retirement Home, Brunner and was a faithful member of Redeemer Lutheran Church Monkton. She enjoyed spending time with her family at the cottage, knitting, crocheting and gardening. Beloved wife of the late Elmer Pehlke who predeceased her in 2004. Loving mother of Diane (deceased 2012) and Terry Dietrich, Eric and Kathy Pehlke, Brian Pehlke, Keith and Kathy Pehlke, Janet and Donald Buchanan. Special grandma of Pam and Larry, Lisa and Jamie, Bill and Erica, Brian, Terry-Lynn, Heather and Jason, Curtis and Meg, Craig, Amy and Tim, Michelle and Mark, Kristy and Dan, Katelyn and Brandon, Kelly and Mike, Brad and Robin, Kyle and Jesse, Ryan and Elesha and 24 great-grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Wilbert and Phyllis Davis, Rita Davis, Marguerite Davis, Jack Pehlke, Ken and Rosemary Pehlke, and Betty Pehlke. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Samuel and Edna (Woodley) Davis, brothers Jack and wife Illa, David, Melvin and wife Alice, Hartley, sisters Luella and husband Grant Campbell, Grace Davis, Pauline and husband Bill Seblefski. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Friday September 30 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Beth’s life will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Monkton on Saturday October 1, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Marvin Bublitz officiating. Interment in Redeemer Lutheran Cemetery.
