December 5, 1952 to March 11, 2016 Wilfred Yantzi – of Poole, with his wife by his side, took Jesus’ hand and passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Friday March 11, 2016 at the age of 63. Wilf’s family wish to express their appreciation to the family who graciously donated their loved one’s lungs in order for him to receive a double lung transplant in 2005. This allowed him 11 more years with his beloved wife Marlene (Ropp) whom he married in 1975 and his loving children Rochelle and Bruce Langlands, Jason and Jenni Yantzi and Renee Yantzi. It also gave his grandchildren Riley, Alexis, Austin, Dustyn, Zachary, Liam and Megan special time with their Papa. Wilf’s brother Marvin is thankful for the time they spent together on the farm while he was still able to enjoy tinkering and fixing farm machinery. Wilf was a faithful member of Poole Mennonite Church where he held many positions over the years, most recently as Elder. Fondly remembered by Marlene’s family, Rosemary Stein, Carol and Owen Cook, Willard and Mary Ropp, step-mother Mary (Schultz) Ropp and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Reginald was retired from the Royal Canadian Air Force where he served as a flight engineer on the Hercules Aircraft. Beloved husband of Margaret (Hawkins) Chislett whom he married in 1954. Gerard cherished the time spent with his family while camping, snowmobiling, travelling across this country and travelling abroad. (Bill) Frank of Route 1 Atwood, passed away peacefully on a crisp, sunny morning in the comfort of his own home, with the wood stove on, and the smell of bacon in the air and surrounded by his family on Wednesday December 2, 2015 at the age of 90. Born and raised in Waterloo where he grew up, went to school, married and started his family. He was well known as the owner of Frank's Jewellers in Waterloo, the business founded by his father in 1919 that he carried on and continued to operate. In 1975 he fulfilled his dream of owning a farm and moved with his family to Atwood where he was fortunate to live for the rest of his life. Loving father and best friend of son Jim, son Bill and wife Heather, and son Bob and partner Leanne. Special grandpa of Brittany, Kelsey and friend Nathan.
