Wanda Machan of Monkton passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at Stratford General Hospital on Wednesday August 19, 2015 at the age of 71. Wanda was a former custodian of the Elma Logan Recreation Complex for 20 years. She was a member of the former Monkton Optimist Club, a participant in Monkton Minor sports as a coach and enjoyed playing slo-pitch. She had a great love for animals especially her dog Bella and her cats Sam and Pawz. Beloved wife of the late Larry Machan who predeceased her on August 2, 2015. Loving mother of Sandra Machan and Tom Crowley and Tammy Machan and John Newbigging. Dear sister of Elroy Davey, Sheila and Jerry Burrows, Nancy Steinbach and Jim McLIwain, Tom and Teresa Davey, Delbert and Kim Davey, James and Cindy Davey, and Brent Davey. Daughter-in-law of Aldeen Machan. Sister-in-law of Bonnie Golightly and friend Phil Hudson, Fay Machan and Bob Mayberry, Gord and Joanne Machan, Robert (Whitey) Machan, Russ Machan, Gerald (Sam) Machan, and Roy Machan. Remembered by many nieces and nephews and special friends Barb Smith, Dawn Yundt and Cheryl Stonely. Predeceased by her parents Alvin and Margaret (Harbourne) Davey, father-in-law Lloyd (Pud) Machan, brothers-in-law Harvey (Hub) Machan, Bill Steinbach and Wayne Golightly. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Elma Logan Recreation Complex, Monkton, on Monday August 24, 2015 from 1:30 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Interment in North Logan Cemetery, Monkton.
