Vera Lichty, formerly of Brussels, passed away peacefully at her residence in Greenwood Court Long Term Care, Stratford on Sunday January 30, 2022, her 91st birthday. Vera was a member of Zion Mennonite Fellowship. She enjoyed gardening, piecing quilts, scrap booking and spending time with her family.
Beloved wife of Daniel S. Lichty whom she married on June 1, 1954. Loving mother of Mervin (Nucharee) Lichty, Marie (Mark) Schrock, Miriam (Mark) Graber, Mark (Cathy) Lichty. Cherished grandma of Michelle, Destiny, Kendra, Julian, Fabrice, Derek, Becky, Heather, Jeffrey, Austin, Ryan, Allison, Dustin, Anthony, Daniel, Allan and great-grandma of Braaden, Ashton, Owen, Isaac, Noah, Abigail, Alice, Kyna, Maverick, Megan, Jake, Chloe, Skylar and Campbell. Remembered by her sister Dorothy (Delmar) Lichti and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Marilyn Brenneman, Amos (Dorothy) Lichty, Mahlon (Anna Mae) Gerber, Sam (Mary Ann) Lichty, Rebecca (Ian) Woollett, Emma Lichty, Norman (Clara) Lichty, Ruth (Ken) Brown. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and Tillie Lichty.
Predeceased by her parents Daniel and Lena (Gerber) Brenneman, her granddaughter Angela, sisters Annie (Emanuel) Ropp, Mary (Jacob) Jantzi and brothers Mahlon (Kathy) Brenneman and Earl Brenneman.
Visitation will be held at Donegal Mennonite Fellowship Church, 7021 Perth Road 147 on Wednesday February 2 from 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. Those wishing to attend the visitation must schedule a time by calling the Funeral Home at 519-356-2382 or by emailing brennemanfh@cyg.net. Masks are mandatory and social distancing must be respected. A private family funeral service by invitation will be held at Donegal Mennonite Fellowship Church on Thursday February 3, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with the ministry of Zion Mennonite Fellowship officiating. Interment in Mount Zion Cemetery.
