Spence Broome

May 26, 1924 to June 22, 2010

Spence Broome passed away peacefully at Fordwich Village Nursing Home with his family by his side on Tuesday June 22, 2010 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Shirley Misner whom he married in 2000. Loving father of Terry and Lois, Ed and Lori all of Alberta, Laurie and Murray Bray, Mary Jane and Barry Bender all of Listowel. Father-in-law of Brad Magee of Alberta. Missed by his grandchildren Barb and David, Tom and Rachel, Shari and David, Jeanne, Johnny, Joannie and Andrew, Paul, Spencer and Jodi, Bill and Yvonne, Candace and Mike, Shelley, Sherry and Trish, Bob, Katelyn, Michaela, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Marjorie (Smith) Broome, parents Joseph and Isabelle (Checkley) Broome, daughter Shirley Magee, sisters Gladys and her husband Norman Nicholson, Joyce and her husband Charlie Gabel, Mildred Broome, Marjorie Broome and brother Wilbert Broome. Spence's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood, on Friday June 25, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Spence's life will be held at St. Alban's and St. David's Anglican Church, Atwood on Saturday June 26, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Thelma Kudelka officiating. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
