Sarah Kuepfer


November 23, 1933 to January 27, 2019

Kuepfer, Sarah – of Route 1 Newton, passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday January 27, 2019 at the age of 85. Sarah was a member of the Old Order Amish Mennonite Faith. Beloved wife of the late Rufus Kuepfer who predeceased her in 2002. Loving mother of Christena (James) Ebersol, Edna (Lester) Kuepfer, Laverne (Mary Ann) Kuepfer, William (Esther) Kuepfer, Adam (Miriam) Kuepfer, Mary Jane (Alvin) Kuepfer. Missed by 48 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Sister and sister-in-law of Esther Zehr, Mary (Enoch) Streicher, Samuel (Eva) Zehr, Ezra (Emmaline) Streicher, Rebecca (Solomon) Jantzi, Anna Jantzi, George Kuepfer, John Jantzi and Esther Schwartz. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents Jonathon and Leah (Kuepfer) Zehr, her son Albert (1977), grandsons Jonathan, David (in infancy), Steven, sisters Christena Zehr and Barbara Streicher, and brother Aaron Zehr. Family and friends will be received at the home of Edna and Lester Kuepfer, 4560 Line 72, RR1, Newton on Tuesday January 29 after 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm on Wednesday January 30. The funeral service will be held at Edna and Lester’s home on Thursday January 31, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. with Bishop Carl Wagler officiating.
