Ross Hurst

April 10, 1930 to February 14, 2010

Ross Hurst passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday February 14, 2010. He resided in Gowanstown and was formerly of RR 2 Atwood. Ross was born 79 years ago in Elma Township, a son of the late Bill and Minnie (Barron) Hurst. He was a member of St. Alban's and St. David's Anglican Church, Atwood. Beloved husband of the late Ruby (Salter) Hurst who predeceased him in 2004. Loving father of Jean Hurst of Strathroy. Dear brother of Ken Hurst of Atwood and Anne and Jim Cooper of RR 3 Brussels. Fondly remembered by brothers-in-law and sister-in-law Violet Archer of Woodstock, Bill Salter of Listowel, Jim Salter of Gowanstown and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Special friend of Alice Brochu of Clinton. Predeceased by his sister Alma and her husband Bob Leslie and brothers-in-law Reid Kennedy and Robert Archer. Ross's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Monday February 15, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday February 16, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Tom Wilson officiating. Spring interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
