Robert (Gilly) Galbraith

January 15, 1951 to May 12, 2019

Robert (Gilly) Galbraith – of Route 1 Atwood, passed away tragically as the result of a vehicle accident on Sunday May 12, 2019 at the age of 68. Gilly enjoyed 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, camping, motorcycling, socializing with his many friends and spending time with his family. Beloved husband of Elaine (Schinbein) Galbraith whom he married in 1977. Loving father of Leslie (Ronnie) Boerkamp, Ryan (Jana) Galbraith, and Ashley (Mark) Hunter. Special grandfather of Landon, Lucas, Anabella, Lane, Easton, Laikyn, Berlynn, Leah and Hayden. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Marilyn Hamilton, Diane (Earl) McCreight, Gary (Susan) Schinbein, David (Liz) Schinbein, Bonnie (Del) Cressman, Sheila Schinbein and Maryanne Schinbein. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Lorne and Edythe (Simpson) Galbraith and brother-in-law Ivan Hamilton. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Elma Memorial Community Centre, 251 Main Street, Atwood on Friday May 17 from 2-7 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate Gilly’s life will be held on Saturday May 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
