Bob passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday July 26, 2009. He resided in Monkton and was born 49 years ago in Listowel, a son of Cora (Hulley) Broughton of Monkton and the late George Broughton. Bob was a member of Monkton United Church and a former member of the Monkton Fire Department. He enjoyed spending time fishing. Bob will be missed by his dog Molly. Bob was the loving father of Cory Broughton and fiance Michelle Hoffmeyer and Chad and Kelly Broughton all of Monkton and the proud grandpa of Cole Broughton. He was the dear brother of Marion and Wayne Colquhoun of Listowel, Sharon Pengally and friend Ted Williams of Goderich, Betty Lou and Ross Rennick of Monkton, Brenda and Bill Burkholder of Blyth. He will also be remembered by Joanne Broughton of Monkton and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law Don Pengally. Bob's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Wednesday July 29, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at Monkton United Church on Thursday July 30 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Alex McGilvery and Rev. George Russell officiating. Interment to follow in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
