Marie Stephenson

January 21, 1924 to November 13, 2012

Marie Stephenson passed away peacefully at her residence in Huronlea Home for the Aged, Brussels on Tuesday November 13, 2012 at the age of 88. Marie was a member of Atwood Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, baking, gardening and playing lost heir and crockinole but most of all cherished the time spent with her family. Beloved wife of the late Ross Stephenson who predeceased her in 2011. Loving mother of Donna and Robert Mitchell of Dublin, Jim and Kathy of Ethel, Jean and Murray Whytock of Teeswater, Les and Susan of Ethel. Special grandma of Stephen, Paul, Craig, Trevor, Ann, Michael, Adam, Dan, Ben, Darcy, Nyssa, Brad, Scott and great grandma of Molly and Case. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Mary Pringle of Alliston and seven nieces & nephews. Predeceased by her parents Stanley and Laura (Speiran) Hammond, two sons in infancy and her brothers Ken and Alex. Marie's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Wednesday November 14 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday November 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Thompson officiating. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
