Lloyd (Jake) Baillie

April 27, 1956 to September 24, 2009

Lloyd (Jake) Baillie passed away peacefully with his family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer, at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Thursday September 24, 2009. He resided at RR #1 Monkton and was born 53 years ago in Listowel, a son of William Baillie of RR #1 Monkton and the late Alice (Broughton) Baillie. Jake was a member of the B&W Trail Blazers Snowmobile Club and enjoyed hunting. Beloved husband of Connie (Fizell) Baillie whom he married in 1978. Loving father of Kirk and Michelle Baillie and their son Wade of Cranbrook, Leslie and Terry Brown and their children Aleah and Bryce of Monkton, Candace and Jesse Louttit and their daughter Annabel of Hanover (formerly of St. Pauls). Dear brother of Marie and Rick VanderVeen of Seaforth, Brenda Keats of Listowel, Lillian and Garry Van Poucke of Seaforth, Darlene and Mike Trapnell of Egmondville and Pauline and Kevin Raycraft of Gorrie. Fondly remembered by his mother-in-law Marj (Fizell) and her husband Bill Miller of Listowel, brothers and sisters-in-law Brenda Fizell, Cathy and Barry Buchanan all of Listowel, Pat Fizell, Linda and Harold Illman all of Monkton and many friends, nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his daughter Lindsey in infancy, father-in-law Robert Fizell and brothers-in-law Alfred Keats and Gary Fizell. Lloyd's family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Saturday September 26, 2009 from 1-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service to celebrate Lloyd's life will be held at the Elma Memorial Community Centre, Atwood on Sunday September 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. presided by Melissa Snyders. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
