Lawrence Kingwell Passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, in his 91st year.

Beloved and devoted husband of Sharron, with whom he shared a love that was deep, steady, and unmistakable. Their life together was marked by faith, laughter, and unwavering companionship.

Proud and loving father of Murray (Sharon) Kingwell and Paul (Evelyn) Kingwell. Cherished stepfather of Jeff (Krista) Mitchell and Julie (Al MacDonald) Mitchell. Lawrence was a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather who adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lawrence was a quiet source of strength to his family, always present, always dependable. Lawrence was a dear brother to Kenny (Linda) Kingwell, with whom he shared a close and meaningful bond.

A man of deep faith, Lawrence was a devoted member of Listowel Pentecostal Church. His love for God guided his life, and his faith remained a constant source of comfort and purpose. He often leaned on the promise found in Psalm 91“You are loved.”

Lawrence had a fondness for the simple joys in life, including his regular visits to Tim Hortons, and he was famously known for knowing his way around Southwestern Ontario, if you needed directions, Lawrence was the one to ask.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his steady presence, his love for his family, and his unwavering faith.

A private family service will be held. Burial will take place at Harriston Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Ronald House, It Takes a Village, or The Upper Deck Youth Centre.
