Kenneth Hoshel

February 7, 1938 - May 9, 2021

Kenneth Hoshel of Route 1 Atwood, passed away unexpectedly at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday May 9, 2021 at the age of 83. Ken was a member of Atwood United Church and the former Donegal United Church. He was a 1961 graduate of the Ontario Agricultural College receiving a BSc. Chemistry degree. Ken started his career at a drug company where he met his future wife Marjorie. In 1974 they moved to Elma Township and purchased two farms with Ken’s brother Don and his wife Carolyn. Ken had a keen interest in antique farm machinery and enjoyed attending farm equipment shows.

Beloved husband of Marjorie (Smith) Hoshel whom he married in 1965. Loving father of Steven Hoshel, Andy Hoshel, Cathy Hoshel and special grandfather of Adam. Remembered by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Carolyn Hoshel, Helen Smith, Gwen Pottage, John (Irene) Smith, Barbara (Vince) Dawson, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Predeceased by his parents George and Lillian (Dibb) Hoshel, his brother Don and his sister Joyce.

A private family visitation and service will be held at Brenneman Funeral Home, Atwood with Rev. Beth Kerr officiating. Cremation to follow. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
