Joyce Cameron

April 15, 1936 - May 10, 2021

Joyce Cameron – passed away peacefully at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Monday May 10, 2021. She currently resided at Caressant Care Retirement Home in Listowel after 38 years of living in Atwood. She was born 85 years ago in Mitchell, Ontario to the late John and Rae Paris. Joyce was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Cranbrook. She enjoyed knitting, word puzzles and cheering on the Toronto BlueJays. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loved her visits and phone chats with family and friends.

Beloved wife of the late Alex Cameron whom she married in 1956 and enjoyed 52 wonderful years together. Loving mother of Lynn Hunt of Cambridge, Sandra Coghlin (Dave Slade) of Waterloo, Barbara Annett of Kitchener and Roger Cameron (Dona Debus) of Milverton. Cherished Grandma to Cameron and Jody Hunt, Cheryl Hunt (Steven Britt), Jessica and Tyler Deitner, Jamie Coghlin, Candice and Clayton Johns, Eddie Annett, Jill Annett, Jeff and Mandy Cameron, Chris and Heather Cameron and Natasha Cameron. Special Great-Grandma to Korben, Cole and Mason Hunt, Alex and Lydia Deitner, Charlotte Johns, Sierra and Bryden Cameron, and Riley and Raelyn Cameron. Also remembered by her brother-in-law Murray Sinclair of Newmarket and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her brothers Arthur and his wife Marie Paris and Robert and his wife Lorena Paris, sister Evelyn Sinclair, her identical twin sister Jean Mullenix and her nephew Bobby Paris.

A private family visitation will be held at Brenneman Funeral Home, Atwood. Cremation to follow with burial in Cranbrook Presbyterian Cemetery. The memorial service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to Listowel Memorial Hospital Foundation, St. Mary’s General Hospital Foundation – Cardiac Care Centre or Caressant Care Retirement Home would be appreciated by the family.
