Jean Peebles

December 9, 1922 to January 4, 2019

Jean Peebles – formerly of Atwood, passed away at Stratford General Hospital on Friday January 4, 2019 at the age of 96. Jean resided at Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell. She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Monkton and a life member of the Women’s Missionary Society. Jean was a former Tai Chi instructor, enjoyed knitting and reading and loved doing crossword and word search puzzles. Beloved wife of the late Stuart Peebles who predeceased her in 2014. Loving mother of Doug Peebles, Mary Reed (Stephen), Moira Barnes (Trevor), Muriel Vandepol (Rick Tull), and Les Peebles (Lori). Special granny of Brian Peebles (Stacey Fletcher), Russ Peebles, Jen Buck (Ken), Natasha Reed, Nigel Reed, Alycia Reed, Danica Barnes, Nathan Barnes, Nicole Vandepol, Brett Vandepol, Megan Peebles and great-granny of Damian, Kian, Evelyn, Dominic, Eric, Andrew, Mackenzie and Jacob. Fondly remembered by her sister Margaret Nicholl, Virginia Reilly and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Leslie and Mary (Macphail) Yeoman, sister Maise Yeoman, twin brother Stephen Yeoman and brother-in-law Harold Nicholl. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Monday January 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday January 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ernie Naylor officiating. Interment in Elma Centre Cemetery, Atwood.
