Heidi Schlumpf


September 8, 1987 to August 10, 2022

Heidi Schlumpf, wife and mother, departed her loving family on August 10, 2022 at Listowel Memorial Hospital. Heidi lived and thrived during her 16 month stage IV Triple Negative Breast Cancer journey. Keeping faith over fear, Heidi passed away peacefully at the age of 34, surrounded by her devoted family. Heidi was the loving mother of Priska, Daisy, Alice & Konrad Schlumpf. Heidi and her adoring husband Remo Schlumpf recently celebrated 8 years of Marriage on August 9th. Heidi was the cherished daughter of Leona, and the late Gorden VanDyke. Little sister to Tyler VanDyke (Allison Williams). Daughter-in-law to Alfred and Marianne Schlumpf. Sister-in-law to Debora (Jeremy) Terpstra, Julia Schlumpf (John Sullivan), David (Vanessa) Schlumpf. Heidi will be remembered fondly by her many friends, dear aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Heidi left her mark on this world leaving rays of sunshine wherever she went. She will be remembered for embracing motherhood, her thoughtfulness for others and her eloquent way with words as she navigated life with cancer. Her family was always at the forefront of everything she did, and she dedicated her life to nurturing them. Heidi’s kind and generous spirit propelled her into significant fundraising efforts in support of Triple Negative Breast Cancer Research. Her legacy of kindness lives on through those who had the privilege of loving her. Heidi was part of a wonderful and caring community, which her family continues to be blessed by today. They would like to extend their gratitude. The outreach and support they have received has been remarkable. Visitation will be held on Saturday August 13, 2022 at Listowel Evangelical Missionary Church, 1205 Tremaine Ave. S. Listowel from 12- 4 PM, 5:30 - 9PM Funeral Service will be held on Monday August 15, 2022 at 11 AM at Listowel Evangelical Missionary Church. Officiated by Pastor Jonathan Brubacher & Pastor Carter Whyte Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Ethel. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to London Health Sciences Foundation - Triple Negative Breast Cancer Research, or charity of ones choice.
