Fern Manson

February 9, 1915 to March 18, 2012

Fern Manson, of Sault Ste Marie, passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Sunday March 18, 2012 at the age of 97. Fern was a member of John Wesley United Church, Sault Ste. Marie and a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star Nokomis Chapter. Beloved wife of the late Harry Manson who predeceased her in 1995. Loving mother of Darlene Rains of Ethel, Bob and Fran Manson of Sault Ste. Marie. Special grandma of Jennifer and Steve Cochrane of Ethel, Andy and Twyla Rains of Stratford, Jeff and Suzanne Manson of Sault Ste. Marie, Stefani and Mike Bouchard of Blind River, fourteen great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. Fondly remember by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Archibald and Zeatha (MacIntyre) McLean and her son-in-law Raymond Rains. Fern was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by five sisters and three brothers. In keeping with Fern's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Saturday March 24, 2012 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held in Sault Ste. Marie at a later date.
