Dorothea Green

September 2, 1920 to July 30, 2014

Dorothea Green formerly of RR2 Listowel, passed away peacefully at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton on Wednesday July 30, 2014 at the age of 93. Dorothea was the daughter of the late James and Helen (Pretswell) Keith. She was a member of Trowbridge United Church and Trowbridge U.C.W. She enjoyed quilting, knitting, playing cards and spending time with her family. Beloved wife of the late Alfred Green who predeceased her in 2003. Loving mother of Doug of RR2 Listowel, Don and Maria of Monkton. Special grandma of Wesley Green of Mississauga, Tina and Jesse Beirnes of Listowel, Jesse Green of Monkton and great grandma of Parker Beirnes. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Dorothea was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by her sisters Agnes and her husband Clarence Duncan, Bella and her husband Milton Denstedt, her brothers Marshall and his wife Catherine Keith, and James Keith in infancy. Also predeceased by her son Dale in infancy. Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home, 141 John Street, Atwood (519-356-2382), on Friday August 1 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday August 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Ruth Long officiating. Interment in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel.
